There's some, like Underwater which have an episode up subbed within 6 hours, and they're working on multiple anime at a time. But there's also some slower ones, which don't get as much attention as the Seasonal Anime, like this, which usually only 1/2 sub-groups work on the subbing. So, this second episode, I do not know what to say yet, but as for all Anime I follow, i'm going to give this the 3 episode rule, and maybe drop it after, maybe i'll keep watching, no idea yet.

We certainly have some intresting characters, but what seems to be the villain so far is pretty generic, the rich type that hires others to do his dirty work. I do like to see the new Pendulum Summon explained in detail, because so far I have no idea how it works, and it did seem very Overpowered and Cheaty, if it were to be implemented in the TGC.

So, now that I can actually understand exactly what's going on, I really can say that I'm loving the series so far. Here's a few things I've noted: • Yuya straight up doesn't remember performing the Pendulum Summon, and had to watch a recording of it to see what he did - but not how he did it. Given the lack of mysterious voices/beings present at the time, I'm guessing he just went into a magical pendulum-induced trance to create the cards and perform the summoning. • Gongenzaka is apparently not a member of You Show Duel School, which surprised me. The two kids referred to him as member of a rival school.

Still, he's clearly a close friend, and it's possible he'll end up formally joining their school later on. • The three kids are Futoshi (overalls boy), Ayu (red girl), and Tatsuya (blue boy). Obviously, Tatsuya only joined this episode, but Futoshi and Ayu implied that there were other students besides just Yuya, Yuzu, and themselves. I wonder if/when we'll see them, as they don't appear in the opening or ending. • I love the banter between Yuya and Yuzu leading up to the duel!

It really reinforces the idea of duels being a performance to them, and not just a serious win/lose thing like in past seasons. • I guess I was wrong about exactly why the crowd's opinion of Yuya changed.

They thought that requiring specific cards for Pendulum summons was unfair (lol) first before jumping on the 'Pendulum summoning was made up and Yuya is a cowardly cheater' bandwagon. • The next antagonist, Sawatari Shingo, if definitely aiming to steal the Pendulum cards, and even has a motivation for doing so: he's going to trade them for some rare cards he's been after.
